You can scan implant boxes into Kubo ahead of time so they are already available when you create notes. This feature is only for implants (not abutments or other components).
By building your implant database up front, staff do not need to search or add implants in real time during charting.
Why pre-scan implants?
Pre-scanning your implants helps you:
Build a practice-wide implant library in Kubo
Speed up documentation – simply search and select the implant you placed
Reduce manual entry errors and inconsistent naming
Keep the team focused on the patient, not on product details
How to scan implants
You can scan implants from the Kubo mobile app.
Open the Kubo app on your mobile device (Phone or Tablet).
From the home screen, tap your avatar on the top right.
Tap Scan Products.
The Scan Implant Product(s) screen will appear with a barcode scanner.
Hold the implant box so the barcode or QR code is centered in the square.
Wait for Kubo to confirm the scan, then move on to the next implant.
Each successful scan adds that implant company to your practice’s Kubo database and ensures we have it in our database.
Best practices
Do an initial scan session during onboarding to capture the implants you use most.
Scan new implants when they arrive so your database stays current.
If a barcode will not scan, set that box aside and contact Kubo Support with the product details.
