Delete an audio recording

Sometimes an audio recording is captured by mistake, duplicated, or no longer needed. Kubo lets you delete an audio file and its transcript directly from the patient's Visit Data screen in a few clicks.

Delete an audio file from Visit Data

  1. Open the patient’s Visit Data screen where the audio was recorded.

  2. In the audio toolbar at the bottom, click the duration next to the Record button (for example, 00:52).

  3. In Audio Transcripts, find the audio file you want to delete.

  4. Click the three-dot (···) menu on that audio file.

  5. Select Delete.

  6. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Important: Make sure you've selected the correct recording before deleting it. Deleting an audio file may be permanent.

What happens next

  • The deleted audio file and its transcript are removed from the visit.

  • Kubo will no longer use the deleted recording when generating clinical notes for that visit.

  • Any other audio recordings associated with the visit remain unaffected.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see “Delete”: You may not have permission to delete audio files. Contact an Admin/Super Admin for assistance.

  • I see multiple audio files: Use the timestamp and duration in Audio Transcripts to identify the correct recording before deleting it.

  • I deleted the wrong audio file: Contact support to check whether the recording can be recovered.
